The Newmarket Martial Arts Centre is a place of education—a school that teaches its students what’s important about the Martial Arts and society in general. To see Martial Arts only as an activity is underestimating its true value; especially in today’s society where honest, stable, disciplined environments are becoming rare.
The Newmarket Martial Arts Centre reinforces behaviour that is needed for a young child to grow up to become a responsible and successful adult. The Centre teaches all of its students about themselves and that they are capable of much more than originally thought possible.
Traditional Japanese Karate is the focus of training at the Newmarket Martial Arts Centre, particularly GOJU RYU.
In addition, students can also study Kobudo (weaponry), Escrima and JuiJitsu. The Centre also offers separate programs in Tai-Chi Chuan and Cardio-Kickboxing. Special events and seminars happen throughout the year covering topics like Women’s Self-Defense, Family Classes, Training Camps, Weapon Seminars and Guest Speakers and Instructors.
